Our search in the field of Above Ground Swimming Pools dates back to the early Seventies and already in 1975 it was concretized thanks to the registration of an industrial model (patent n. 168558) regarding a round swimming pool with superior inflatable ring: this is the beginning of the history of the trademark Piscine Laghetto.
As the round model was not considered sufficiently evolved, after having introduced the metal structure in the circular model creating in this way the first polygonal pool, a totally new concept of pool was studied. This was to become the real Laghetto swimming pool: the rectangular pool in hydtrostatics tensiostruttura with metal structure (patent n. 1221098 year 1981).
The first model was called Professional as it was so strong and of so superior quality if compared with existing models on the market, that it had to be placed in a separate category.
In 1988 thanks to the success of the range Professional it was decided to create a model proper for families with little boys, introducing the range of 1 meter depth called Junior (with a blue liner).
In 1991 the range Baby was born, always following the same philosophy. It appears like a real Laghetto pool, complete with filtration system and vacuum cleaner, conforming to the characteristics of sturdiness and reliability proper of the other pools, only sixty centimeters of height, for the joy of all children. This model was the first one to introduce the concept of side structural supports "V-shaped".
In 1990 the range Professional, the only one of green colour still remained in production, was placed side by side the range Europe90, that was destined to replace later on the first one in the following years.
In 1993 the range Azur was introduced; it was the first among all the pools of 1 meter depth to introduce the great novelty of the V-shaped side supports. In the meanwhile the range Junior was going out of production.
In 1994 the V-shaped side supports were extended also to the range Europe90, which took the name of Europe94.
In 1999 the range Europe, our special product was improved so much that it was renamed EuropeGold.
In 2000 the range Azur too was completely revised and it took the actual name of Azur2000.
Always in the same year, stimulated by some requests for peculiar uses and by the enthusiastic answer of the American market, the Tallest Detachable Above Ground Pool in the World was introduced and mass-produced: it was the range International.
